Journal of Institutional Studies

 ISSN: 2076-6297 (Print), 2412-6039 (Online)
 Frequency: 4 issues per year

From the 1990s, neoclassical economics has been broadly questioned as the mainstream approach when implementing economic policy reform in the Post-Soviet countries. Economists began seeking for an alternative economic paradigm, which would be more suitable for the Post-Soviet case, while also enabling them to speak the same language as their foreign colleagues. Eventually, Institutionalism (both Original and New) became such a paradigm.

The Journal of Institutional Studies is a multi-disciplinary journal that covers a wide range of social sciences (economics, sociology, history, anthropology, psychology, law and philosophy). The Journal provides an opportunity to share research and educational experience, and to discuss theoretical and practical issues from an institutionalist perspective.

The Journal is supported by The International Association of Institutional Studies whose purpose is to promote research and facilitate communication between researchers who share the ideas and approaches of Original and New Institutional Economics.
